DNA sample plate data

LGC, Biosearch Technologies requires to know the layouts of your DNA sample plates; please submit DNA sample plate data using the appropriate DNA submission template.

Biosearch Technologies requires information about the layout of DNA samples in your DNA plates, and of the corresponding sample plate names and/or barcodes. Sample plate information should be submitted to your project manager using the appropriate DNA plate template. This information is imported directly into our proprietary Kraken™ software and enables your DNA samples to be fully tracked through the laboratory workflow.

Please note: If your DNA sample plates do not have barcodes, they will be barcoded upon arrival at our laboratories. Please ensure that non-barcoded plates are clearly labelled with unique plate names.

  • Excel grid 96 - well plates  – please use this template to submit DNA sample information for samples submitted in 96-well plates
  • Excel grid 384 - well plates  – please use this template to submit DNA sample information for samples submitted in 384-well plates
  • Excel list – please use this template to submit DNA sample information in a list format (can be used for both 96-well and 384-well plates)

Should you wish to keep your sample names confidential, please use well locations instead of sample names e.g. put ‘A1’ into well location A1 in the Excel grid.
If you are submitting positive control DNA samples, please identify these in the submitted DNA plate template file.
